Pikes Peak Genealogical Society Presents.....

Ed Storey

Have you ever encountered an ancestor and found they were a “cooper” or a “cordswainer?” What kind of occupations are those? Many occupations of a century or two ago are no longer in existence, while others have changed names or merged, many having been impacted by the industrial and agricultural revolutions. Come let Ed Storey educate you on some of these arcane occupations and you may learn what your ancestors actually did to earn a living! Because many occupations had ties to specific regions, you may find clues to your ancestors’ whereabouts by understanding more about their occupations.
